Collecting samples for laboratory analysis
At FIRE K9 all alert location samples are collected, packaged, and shipped by our canine handlers, in accordance with NFPA 921. FIRE K9 utilizes an independent ISO-accredited laboratory.

All FIRE K9 samples are collected by the canine handler. Our canine handler is also a Certified Fire Investigator and has been trained specifically in evidence collection and preservation. All samples are expeditiously shipped to a certified third party laboratory for analysis.
From collection at the fire / explosion scene to delivery to the laboratory, all samples are handled and shipped in accordance with NFPA 921, keeping the chain of custody as short as possible, and preserving the integrity of the evidence.
